This policy explains what personal data Modern Mellow (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and the rights you have over it. It is written with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in mind.
What we collect
- Newsletter email address — if you subscribe on our home page.
- Account details — email address and profile information (display name, optional bio, website, phone) if you hold an account.
- Usage data — anonymous, aggregated performance and traffic metrics via privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. We do not build advertising profiles.
- Abuse-prevention data — the IP address and browser identifier of account requests, logged to detect and block spam (legitimate interests).
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- Newsletter — sent on the basis of your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time (see below).
- Accounts and site features — processed to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract) and to keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to erase your data at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run the site on our behalf — our hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (Supabase), and our email provider (Resend) — each acting as a data processor under contract. Some of these providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
